First Rehearsal: April 8 at 6:30 p.m.​ | East Fairmont High School Bandroom

​The MCPARC Community Band regular rehearsals will begin on Monday, April 8th at 6:30 p.m. Rehearsals will run on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the East Fairmont High School Bandroom. Our performance is scheduled for Monday, July 8th at 7:00 p.m. at East Fairmont High School and we hope to find a second performance opportunity this summer so, even if you can't make the show on July 8, we sill invite you to come practice in hopes you can make the other show (or just to have a good time). There is no cost associated with being a member of the group nor is there any tryout requirements! Hope to see you there!

East Fairmont High School is located at 1993 Airport Road in Fairmont, WV. From the Interstate, the school is located off Exit 133 Kingmont Road. The Bandroom is located on the left side of the school and the bandroom door will be opened for entrance on rehearsal evenings. MCPARC Band Christmas Concert | December 17, 2023

​The MCPARC Community Band and Jazz Ensemble held their annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at the East Fairmont High School Auditorium. The Jazz Ensemble performed four numbers before being joined by the full ensemble. Thank you to everyone who came out!

​Our summer concert this year was a tribute to the incomparable film composer John Williams, and featured music from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and much more. Formed in 2019, the MCPARC Community Band is a symphonic concert band open to musicians of all ages and skill levels, whose goal is to provide a positive ensemble experience and musicianship growth for all members.

Looking for a reason to get out your instrument? Come on up and join the MCPARC Community Band, sponsored by the Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission. All skill levels welcome. We will begin Christmas season practices on Monday, October 9th at the East Fairmont High School Bandroom (6:30 - 8:30 p.m.) and continue every Monday until our performance date. We have a wide variety of musical selections and it's a great way to get back into playing if you haven't for awhile - or just improve your skills. All newcomers welcome! Hope to see you up there next week!

The MCPARC Community Band welcomes those with musical talent with the ability to read music and a desire to perform in a public setting. The group performs two season - a Spring/Summer with rehearsals starting in April with performances around July and a Fall/Winter with rehearsals starting in October with performances in December. Members will have access to some music from the upcoming season in advance of first rehearsals so they can listen to and practice the music if they wish.
Traditionally, meetings and rehearsals are held weekly on Monday evenings 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feel free to come up and play as we hope to reach out to as many area musicians as possible. Old and young, skilled and beginner, or just rusty musicians are all welcome. Dust off your instruments, blow out the cobwebs and come on out to a rehearsal!
